Gary Weed is back during this COVID situation to discuss what life has been like for him and his views on where all this is going.

First up...The men discuss Donald Trump and how he has handled the virus. Gary and Mark are on the same page regarding it because, well, it only makes sense at this point. He has attacked the governors and everyone else trying to skirt blame for reacting so slowly. Mark wonders why there hasn't been any attempts on the heads of world leaders in the past 30 years.

People are Rallying against the stay at home orders in throughout the USA and the guys discuss. Why would you put yourself at risk and it's obvious nobody at the rallies is adhering to social distancing. Also there are other things falling apart during this pandemic and sports teams are not exempt from the fallout. Th XFL folds and they discuss the ramifications of this happening.

Finally Gary and Mark discuss the OTHER HEROES of this COVID situation. Doctors and nurses, LEO and Military are all getting the pats on the backs for dealing with this virus situation. But the country is technically shut down and tons with no jobs, yet some are still working. They are still putting their lives on the line to bag your groceries, or deliver those groceries. These are the OTHER HEROES people are not talking about. Mark and Gary give their two cents on this.

Andy Echele hasn't been on the show in a while and he stops by during this Corona Virus to be Socially Distant while recording an episode of the Q with Mark!

First up, Mark and Andy get into a discussion of why conservatives tend to be jerks. Mark plays devils advocate and discusses with Andy how conservative people on social media always get into arguments because of antagonistic attitudes. Mark and Andy discuss and figure out why that is.

This leads into a talk about the Coronavirus itself and what to watch for versus the BS on the internet that people spread. Andy Echele is a certified EMT/Paramedic Tech and Firefighter. He explains what he's been told and how the paramedic field is handling how they approach the Coronavirus.

Finally, Mark and andy decide to break down a list from Ranker of the top 10 Virus/Outbreak type movies. Which ones have they seen and which ones shouldn't be in the Top 10. Also a surprise at the #1 slot to our fair friends. And this leads into a discussion about top Horror movies of all time and which ones should and shouldn't be there.

All this for you to enjoy on this episode of the Q.

Oh the Coronavirus is here and it seems the Republicans think it was a joke. But it's not a joke and a ton of people are being affected by these things! Gary Weed and Zach Schmidt join Mark to discuss the virus issues and the things that are happening.

First up Mark reports on Arch Madness, the basketball tournament for the Missouri Valley Conference, to go to the NCAA March Madness tournament. Luckily for them, they were able to have the entire tournament before anything was cancelled. Mark discusses seeing the tournament and finals between Valpraiso and Bradley University...as well as speaks on how well the MVC handled things.

Next, Mark and the guys discuss the impact the virus is having on sports and other things the world. So many sports closing down because of this virus. But did it have to happen? Was it necessary? The gentlemen discuss this.

Finally, with everything going on, the gentlemen decide they need to focus on more positive and fun things. They take some questions and discuss movies and tv shows you can watch during this time. As well as many other things to pique your interest during this less than stellar time.

All this and much more on this new episode of The Q!

In one fell swoop, and in a comedy bit, a Trump supporter said the three words that everyone knows is the reason for Trump being supported as heavily as he ever was....I DON'T CARE.

That's right, they don't care about anything, so we shouldn't care one little bit about their ideas or focus or any of it. And to help Mark not care this week, he is joined by Hip hop artist and member of the music group Egan's Rats...Gorilla J!

First up Mark and Gorilla dive into the past and how Gorilla made his way into the music business. Mark finds out about the people in Gorilla's life that already are making huge moves and they discuss the things like the music business and the pains of being young and new in it.

Next up a popular clip from the Daily show is making the rounds showing Trump supporters being interviewed during the impeachment. Their Answers are the reason this country is doomed now. The two men Discuss!

Fianlly Gorilla J comes to sit down on the Hotseat and answer 5 questions he did not expect...including: Name something you believed as a child that you realized was dumb once you became an adult?  What does our guys say regarding this...listen to this fire episode of The Q to find out!

Patrick Wilson and Comedian Jonathan (Award winning) May come on the Q to disucss the articles of impeachment against Donald Trump...but the story starts off before that.

Mark starts by checking into the music background of Patrick and early growing up in St. Louis County. This leads to a interesting discussion of the best shows the guys ever seen at clubs in St. Louis or even at all.

Mark then changes the focus to music and culture. Ferguson shows up in the convo and Patrick discusses how his day went the day the Michael Brown incident happened. Which leads to stories from Jonathan and Mark.  This tuns to talk of the Beach Boys and how black culture views white crossover artists and which ones have been taken in by black culture.

Then the talk switches to the Golden Globes and specifically Mark wants to discuss if Tom Hanks playing Mr. Rogers is a SUPPORTING ROLE. He's nominated for Supporting Actor in a movie and not as the Lead Actor. This brings up some great movies and which ones you should watch for or see.

Finally, Mark turns the topic to impeachment and Trump and where he is at at this current point. Jonathan May comes up witha genius way to explain Trump to people that might not get how the man operates. But sadly, that is the end of our show...due to technical difficulties, the last 20 minutes of the show did not record and therefore must bid you adieu at that point. But we will work the kink out and be back to fresh next week!

Matthew Krueger rejoins the cast of Mark Bland and Gary Weed for the first time in quite some while. Welcomed back in true past co-host fashion, Matt brings his conservative flavor to the Q for this episode.

Politics is a dangerous game. There are many ways to lose when playing politics on a national scale. Trump is embroiled in this Impeachment Inquiry and needs to pivot properly if he is going to weather this storm.  Mark and the guys discuss this impeachment and how it is being used against Trump currently. With no end in sight, it seems Mark may be right about the reasoning for doing this at all.

But people are not paying attention...how will weathering this storm of impeachment help Trump potentially. Because if he doesn't get booted from office...well that lends a ton of credibility to the conservative argument that it is all BS and made crap to take Trump down a level.

This and much more is discussed on this new and exciting episode of the Q.

It's been a while in the making but two influential guys from the STL finally got a chance to sit down and talk some politics and pop culture.  First things first, Gary Weed returns to the show to help Mark welcome their guest, Wes Hoffman. Wes is a social media influencer and all around positivity person on the streets of St. Louis. Wes is the founder of Treehouse Network and runs his own career counseling business named Stay Connected STL (www.stayconnectedstl.com). Wes joins in to follow the leader as discus some current events of our time.

First up is Mark, before getting sidetracked, discussing with Wes what he does for a living and how he got to where he is in life. This leads to Mark realizing there are catch phrases and cliche words used often within the business world.  The guys discuss the value of of these words and why the word "Preneur" was attached to so many things a few years ago.

Next up, It's Mueller Time! That's right...Robert Mueller finally testified in front of Congress about his report and investigation regarding Donald Trump and Russian Collusion in 2015/2016. But was it a good move or not? How about the the timing of everything? The guys talk about what they liked and how they thought it looks to everyone else around the world and in the USA. Did the DEM's get the win they needed? Was Mueller the final nail in the coffin of Donald Trump....the discussion is on!

Finally, Mark and Gary have to put Wes through the HOTSEAT since he is a first time guest on the show. But first, Mark wants to give the people a taste of what working with Wes would be like. How are the questions phrased? What kind of thoughts and focus does Wes put into his work. Find out what his Hotseat answers were, as well as how Wes handles clients on this amazing episode of the Q!

Big Words....that's what we have on this episode of the Q. Mark starts saying them, Gary Weed starts saying them and Brandon Travis start's to use them also.

First up, Mark discusses some things in his life that aren't all that important or worthy to discuss, but he wants to talk a bit. One of those things is that the Blues are in the Stanley Cup finals and Mark decided to go and make what many are calling an "abomination".  Mark is a Flyers fan and a former Blues fan, but Mark like's hockey and he wanted to promote the Blues but in a way that was his own. Well he made it his own and boy did it turn out (See picture of show cover).

Next up Mark starts doing some letters from the listeners and one strikes off on a rant which hasn't been on the show in a while now. Mark realizes one letter is sacrilege and decides to focus on this. Strangely connected to cereal and oreo's, Mark and the guys discuss this rant and if it warranted or not.

Finally the guys start talking about government and TAXATION....Many say Taxation is theft, but that's not true since you willingly sign away to let the government take from you. But maybe, just maybe, we are taxed too much. Every single place in your town that you use, taxes you. Everything you buy or use get's taxed more because everyone wanted to be in the same boat as opposed to letting that FREE MARKET dictate their success with taxation. Can't leave money making up to the gods. Mark, Gary and Brandon discuss the government and taxation. See if you agree!

All this and much more on this episode of the Q! Bing Bong yo! Enjoy.

"Politics, Politics, Politics....I like it when you mix it up or even ignore politics all together."

The amount of times Mark has heard that regarding the show is absolutely mind blowing, but still a potentially fair assessment. Well this is a show that will not disappoint at all.

Chris McQuillen, aka The Toy man, jumps in with Mark Bland and Gary Weed to discuss pop culture and nostalgia. Chris runs the ToyMan Toy Shows in the St. Louis Area and has been doing it since the 1980s/90s.  Bringing in thousands a year to fawn over toys and all artifacts from the world of pop culture, Chris and his team have consistently put on multiple shows a year giving collectors all the opportunities that they could need within the area.

First up the gentlemen discuss how social media has impacted a traditionally offline thing. What new collectible toys and nostalgia has grown out of it and what have been some of the benefits of the internet on toys and Chris' toy show directly.

Next Mark talks about his recent trip to the Lake of the Ozarks (in Missouri) and how he found an old school arcade that has tons of the games that  were throwbacks to the 50's-70's.  It brought Mark back down memory lane, take a listen and see what grabs you.

Finally, Gary brings up the name of some shows on netflix and around currently that people need to check out and discuss. Gary throws the list at Mark and Chris and they break down what they like and what they obviously haven't seen.

A unique trip through pop culture and fun on this episode of the Q!

400 episodes are a lot of episodes when you realize many are at minimum 1 hour long and most are 3 hours in total.  That's a lot of blood, sweat and tears that went into all of those hours of entertainment.  But alas, we are here and number 400 is what we are on!

Agitate the Airwaves host Travis Corley joins Mark Bland, Jason Kull, Jonathan May and Producer Bobby on this special episode of the Q. Travis has been hosting a local music podcast for a few years now and he is starting to bridge off into other avenues of entertainment like booking shows. Travis joins Mark and the crew on this episode to discuss his show, it's influence and what he's got coming up in the near future for the people of STL.

Trump has done it again and saying really weird off the wall type stuff. He explained about not being able to say Orange and he claims his father was born in Germany and not Brooklyn, NY. So just another week in Trump's weird presidency that does nothing.

Mark brings up some past moments on the show that he fondly remembers along with adding a new one to the list from more recent episodes. Somewhere in the middle of this, Jonathan MAy inserts he has a big package and the show never looks back. Mark does everything to keep the train on the tracks, but hilarity ensues.

All this and much more on this 400th Special Episode of the Q!  Worth every second to listen to.

Did you know that the pilgrims are technically the founding fathers of our nation and not the dudes from the Revolutionary War that we love to put on our money and hold to the highest regard?

Well the guys discuss this and much more on this new episode of the Q. Jason Kull is back and not happy about Trump calling for more randomly ridiculous "National Emergencies"...but the fun doesn't stop there because Mark invited a friend he grew up with named Steve Richards to show. Steve has been listening for years and stated that he wanted to come guest on the show, so Mark made it happen.

First, Mark and the gents discuss the new national emergencies Trump has been lining to be the boy who cried wolf. None of them are gonna pan out but it won't stop other crazier things from happening. All of this leads to a discussion about the Salem Witch trials and how one of the states has decided to setup new rules making abortion a punishable crime. The guys talk about going through with this and how it would be received here in the USA and across the globe. Also, would sentencing someone to death for having an abortion become the new Salem Witch trials? All this culminates with some talk on the death penalty and where we are at with it mentally in 2019.

Mark then moves on to the Hot Seat since Richards is a new guest to the show. 5 Questions, all random and some discussion is in store. And then Finally, we take some questions from the listeners. Should "retarded" be considered a bad word? Is it already? This and so much more is bantered about on this new episode of the Q!

Jonathan May returns to the Q after a long absence.  And a perfect time for the return since Gary Weed, our friend, decides to trot out the White Privilege discussion now that we have a multi-cultural panel to discuss the topic in depth.

Mark starts out by asking Jonathan to explain the definition of white privilege so that he can set a baseline to see how things fall in line with the definition. But alas, Jonathan doesn't have a definition he has the common argument of "It just is that way and because you are the one doing it, you don't realize what it looks like".

At this point Mark starts to discuss how there are equally as egregious things that happen to other cultures including white people. Mark then decides to hone down on privilege in general. Can a white person who sees a rich person (no matter their race or religion) hold that wealth against them and use it as an argument to complain about the privilege of others. This doesn't go over well with Jonathan....find out why and see the fall out.

Finally the guys do talk about our friend Don Trump and his need to keep the government shut down while stomping his feet like a child. Well the shutdown lead to an amazing White House Dinner for the Clemson Football team, served with "Hamberders" and fast food. Plus the guys touch on R. Kelly and the latest from Soulja Boy! All this and much more on the newest Q!

Jan 12, 2019

On this episode of the Q, Mark Bland decides to let the cat out of the bag on a new resolution he has for 2019. He invites Gary Weed to air a grievance with him from facebook...BUT He will invite anyone with legitimate grievances against him on any show to have the floor and discuss what their issue. Whether personal, private, or public...the doors of the Q are open for 2019 and all grievances.

This all comes on the back of another week and Trump whining again and making hardworking government employees go without a paycheck again.  So he punishes the citizens because he doesn't get his way. What kind of Presidential quality is that. It seems very petty and deplorable....but we already knew that in 2016.

The TSA workers who protect us from allowing in bad people on the airlines and planes, are not getting paid because of the shut down. The TSA exists because of 9/11. So now all the people paid to protect us are leaving and that will make it worse in security for airports. If one plane is taking down on his watch, Trump has to resign. At that point, his whining becomes treasonous and allows people to get hurt.  Mark and Gary Weed discuss this.

Finally Mark reads a letter from a listener describing the elderly as bad people who are always coming down on young people. Mark and Gary discuss if this is an actual problem or if this individual just has a gripe because something happened to him directly.  Find out what is said and more on this new episode of the Q!

Jan 4, 2019

It's a tale of two Jason's on this episode of the Q. First up Jason Kull jumps back in, as well as Jason Patton returns to discuss the 2019 Government Shutdown that is continuing from last year.

First up the guys discuss the government shutdown and whether it necessary or not. Of course this is stemming from the President's need to fund a border wall on the southern US border and it requires 5 billion dollars according to Trump. Mark shoots back with the fact that its never the Northern Border, which also is Wall-less, that needs to be secured. And the reason for that being that Trump is tunnel visioned people from Mexico and attacking them as much as possible. All which he himself has done online through social media for years.

Then Jason Patton brings up whiskey and beer as a option to drink. But the convo turns towards bad beer and especially one that Jason tried that is supposed to taste of PINE CONE. A Pine cone flavored beer sounds disgusting and Jason explains whether it is or not.

And finally, the story of the young man that was a wrestler and had to cut his dreads because the ref asked him to during an match in front of the entire crowd. Was the ref in the right or wrong?  Mark and Jason Patton are both Pro-wrestlers with experience in competitive wrestling. And Mark knows the Missouri State Wrestling Guidelines say nothing about any rule about hair on the body of anyone. So the world has been chiming in and so do the two Jay's and Marky B. But where do the guys stand...is this okay or a travesty!

All this and much more on the new Q! Happy New Years! #winning #governmentshutdown #theq
