Matt Krueger is back and what a show to return for. The President Donald Trump has had a busy first week in office and at the end of it he decided to Ban people from 7 specific Middle Eastern countries that have terrorist ties. But the issue is that he left a few other countries that are also terror based off the list. Why? Well maybe he has economic ties to those countries, or maybe he doesn't feel they are a threat at all. Regardless, the hashtag #MuslimBan seems to be taking the entire world by storm as country after country denounces this US stance. People are taking over airports and we discuss whether this is all justified or not.
But first, Kayo Bracey joins the show to discuss hip hop and growing up in North Carolina over the past few years with all the confederate flag talk and now Trump becoming the president. He tells us a little about his upbringing as well as his influences coming from the home of hip hop legend Petey Pablo.
All this and much more on the Q!
Well He's the Preident now and with that starts the reign of Donald Trump. And right off the bat, Trump sent new White house Press Secretary Sean Spicer out to let the media know, "We don't like you!" All because the world showed pictures of the small turnout for the inauguration of Trump. Welp, that's kinda life and reality can be tough to swallow sometimes.
But it didn't stop there....The next day on Meet the Press, Chuck Todd pushed the issue of why Sean Spicer went out to everyone the previous day and lied about the pictures from a point of spite it seemed like. Kellyanne Conway decided to put the breaks on and stated that Spicer had uttered some "Alternative Facts" which is just another phrase for LYING.
So Mark and Jason along with Steph on the board, decided to delve in this week and discuss the Alternative facts. As well as an Alternative Universe we seem to be in now.
Will he keep a single promise he made to the people of the United States? Matt Krueger jumps in and joins Mark, Bobby, Jason and Schep to break down these ideas and promises. The guys tangle it up about whether Obama has created more divisiveness or not during the 8 years that he was President. Matt throws out a laundry list of things against Obama that Mark and the team discuss and bat down in a rapid fire session of political talk. Definitely one of the best discussions we have had on the show.
But that's not all. Rob Schamberger from the WWE joins to talk about his early interests in being an artist. Rob explains where and why it came to him and what some of his favorite paintings are. From his time working in KC's indie wrestling scenes to his first WWE opportunity, we discuss it all with him.
Finally the listeners sent in some great questions and Mark picks the brains of the crew to find out what the Rarest thing's they own are...and... If there is some unheralded history note that deserves more respect and notoriety than any other.
Well it is the new year of 2017 and the guys on the Q have an amazing show lined up for you. First up is their guest retired prowrestler and amazing artist Dartallion Allen. Also known in wrestling as a Eric Allen, Dartallion joins in the show to fullfil Marks long legacy of bringing some personal buddies on the show and this one fills out the Trifecta! Dart discsusses his earliest influences and how he did some tryout work with Marvel. Plus Mark and Eric go down memory lane to remember exactly when they crossed paths for the first time.
From there, Jason Kull and Schep jump in handily for the discussion about Donald Trump and what is going on for this year. Mark has a list of predections he's calling now and many of them seem to have a common theme....listen in to find out what that is. Finally Mark and John have a good ole verbal tug of war regarding Scheps background in politics and when he decided enough was enough and went Republican.
